LEVI’S
In 1853, Levi Stauss, a Bavarian immigrant, set up a texting company in San Francisco at the height of the California Gold Rush. In the process, he recognized an important need for hard-working people: Clothes that could withstand all conditions. Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis combined denim and copper rivet reinforcements to produce the first overalls with suspenders in 1873.
