M·A·C is the world’s leading authority on professional makeup with its unique expertise in the art of makeup. A global beauty phenomenon that sets trends at fashion weeks around the world, M·A·C began life in Toronto, Canada. Makeup artist and photographer Frank Toskan and salon owner Frank Angelo realized that there was a lack of suitable colors and textures to maximize the performance of makeup and decided to create their own brand. Initially, they made their products in their kitchens and sold them directly to their makeup artist friends, models and photographers. Soon, stylists and fashion editors joined the group. As magazine praise grew, so did its popularity through word of mouth. The duo launched M·A·C in a Toronto store stand in March 1984. Today, M·A·C is available in over 120 countries and continues to maintain its image as a trendsetter in beauty worldwide.
